I will be passing through Syracuse tomorrow and I would like to stop and see the Melo Center. Is it normally open to the public?

If Manley is open, the Hall of Fame section (or whatever it is called) of the Melo Center will probably be open. Walk in the front door of the Coaches Wing and turn left. Being that tomorrow is Friday of an odd holiday week, I have no idea whether anyone will be working out on the courts in the Melo Center. If you are in the Hall of Fame section, you can check out possible action on the courts by looking through the window that opens onto the court. Unless you are being escorted by someone who works there, you will not be able to enter the actual court area.

Thank you Joyce. My daughter and I are looking forward to seeing the building. I have only seen pictures. In fact, you were in a few of them.

take some photos of the football facility, too!

I stopped by there earlier this week to pick up some football posters. I tried to take a look at the football side, but even with the contractors working in there...you still had to pass through a security door.

We went in and saw tue Melo Center. There were a few of the ladies shooting and Andy Rautins was shooting baskets by himself. I did see a couple of the players walk out, but I could not identify them from the backside.

Thanks for the information. It sure is a great facility. I smiled when I saw the pavilion named after one of our own. Thank you, CTO. : )
