Look at backups over starters. He also wouldn’t poach one of Kirby’s guys this early.

If the dude is leaving of his own volition it’s not poaching. If we went in and tampered and got him in the portal that’s a whole different ball game. But if the dude wants out, then IMO it’s not poaching.

And if Kirby really is the standup guy that Fran believes him to be, Kirby would want his kid going to a good place with a good leader, and he’d want Fran to get the best talent in the country (that Kirby doesn’t get) and win a whole lot of games.

Georgia fans aren’t unhappy about this. He obviously has talent if he started 10 games there this year but some have said he wasn’t developing as they’d like. They also expressed concerns about immaturity and negativity.

We’ll know pretty quickly if Fran has those same concerns or not as he would know him well and get additional feedback directly from Kirby. My best guess is he ends up at a Texas school where he’s from.
