2024 (So.) | 4/1: Ward appeared in four games at cornerback with one start, which came in the Aug. 31 season opener at Alabama. He finished the season with six total tackles, including a team- and season-high five against the Crimson Tide.

2023 (Fr.) | 9/0: Ward appeared in nine games as a true freshman, providing depth at cornerback. He totaled five tackles in his first season on The Hill. Ward was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team as a defensive back.

At this point I guess it's just get talent and speed on the feild. Amare will play safety as well Hughes. May the best man win but also having 2nd string without a massive drop off will be new to us.

Looks to have added some good weight in college. Was 6’1 160 as a prospect and looked thin framed. Reportedly 185 lbs now and moves well, excelling in press coverage. Looks to be a really solid add to a defensive scheme that trusts its corners to cover 1 on 1 a good amount. Need these types of players with experience whether he’s the nickel or additional depth on the outside.
