CFB Playoffs

Yeah but big difference for an OU fan. Easy travel to Dallas plus OU has a big alumni base in Dallas as well. You also have to remember that there are potentially two big games and not all of their fans are going to be able to travel to both Miami and Phoenix.

They don't need "all" of their fans to go to both games though. That's my point. They are the flagship University of the State with an annual enrollment over 30k. They are one of the winningest programs in CFB history. They have enough fans to show up regardless of where they play.

They'd have a decided advantage over anybody they played in Dallas. Not true in Mami. It's an easy 2-1/2 hour drive from Norman to Dallas and they have a huge following there.

The ole' boys network absolutely wants OU/Bama, so MSU leaping over OU should surprise nobody.

Here's hoping for a Clemson/MSU championship, and somebody different on top for a change.

wont most of the tickets pre sold so they dont really need a huge number of FANS to show up anyway?

not sure being new years eve makes a difference to the vast majority of people who watch sports. most of my friends stopped going out to parties about 2-3 years after kids started showing up, new years eve sugar bowl was the most watched bowl game after the rose bowl for a decade not that long ago.

the semi being over xmas break is a good trip for many. getting to the 2nd game is for the people with money
