I think we should always have some local talent on the team. In other old days, we frequently had some local players sprinkled in as role players (or more)... Marty Headd, Howard Triche, Matt Roe, Lazurus Sims, etc. I think Andy Rautins did not make anyone think we would be a significant player--until he became one.

You never know... and what is the downside?? If we bring a player from Arizona and they do not pan out, who cares? With 15 roster spots, definitely room to take a few chances.

Huh? Girard had offers from BC, Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame and SU out of high school, and playing summers for the City Rocks. He never attended a prep school. What does Girard have anything to do with Moesch? Confused.

He went to prep school to get attention and higher D1 offers I assume. Girard was offered out of his high school not needing prep school, to gain attention. Apple and orange comparison at this point. Good luck to the young man.

My friends son plays for Cushing - my buddy played football at New Hampshire, was on Coach Ps staff, was on the Jets staff (with Jojo Wooden) - he understands sports - he has watched every practice his son has played in since age 6 - he has seen Boozers, Flagg, etc., AAU this and that - Cushing has a probably NBA player on their team - he tells me Ryan is the best player he has ever seen - doing it every night against the top talent - he says he is an absolute must for us and he wants to go to Cuse - he also says it was a big mistake to not go after Mason from New Hampton

He said he's seen Boozer, Flagg, and he's the best he's seen. I'm calling complete BS on that. Flagg might be the 1st pick in the draft. If this kid gets in the top 10 in the draft, when it's his time I'll certainly eat my words.

Girard's public high school league was a ton better than Moesch's - how his college career goes will determine who was the better player.
