I don't know but she watches all the Alaska shows on tv habitually (even obscure ones) and is nearly convinced it is where she belongs. I'll go anywhere 'cuse exists.

Something about this place man... The wildlife, the views, the adventure. Add in all the amazing people up here that would do anything for you, and it was an easy decision to want to stay up here.
I dont know if she knows this, but it uh... gets a little cold in the winter. Better bring a jacket.

Best bet is to move in spring, unless your wife is super cool. People that move up here in the winter, tend to hate Alaska right off the jump. Come up in spring, enjoy summer, and by September you will never want to leave.
I dont know what you guys do for work, but my wife is a recruiter at a staffing company up here. She could get ya squared away.

I've always preferred natural beauty over architectural beauty. Alaska would be great for me.

oaa carries it for the small fee of 14 bucks per game... drop in the bucket for 2 hours worth of exhibition.

Definitely a weird choice but I can tell you SC can be a great choice depending on what you are looking for. 'Lived here for 15 years since leaving CNY and haven't looked back once. Fairbanks is a great and beautiful location too. I was there a few times when my son was stationed there. But, as Cusetroop indicated, it does get cold. Where else can you find parking places at grocery stores with block heater plugins? Oh, he forgot to mention that it gets so cold the sun hides for long periods as well.
