He has now been charged, but currently only misdemeanor assault, and assault and battery. Apparently up to 1 year in jail if convicted under MI law under the current charges, but those charges may be changed.

Agree -- the WR's buddy both distracts the kid and steps to the side so the WR can get a clear shot at the kid defenseless. The buddy then immediately turns and walks away followed by the WR and the girl.

Glad Michigan gave him the boot. At MSU he would have been suspended for a half of a game against a MAC team. And even if he went to prison, he'd be back at practice the same day he was released (which has happened).
