pac 10 has a great mix of offenses now. they pretty much cover everything nowReally good guy from all reports. I always thought he was waiting for the Oregon job, probably was. Eugene is his type of town. Dude is really granola for a football coach not a typical meathead by any means. Probably figured after the Kelly left and didn't get it he had no shot. UW is 2nd best for him. IMO, he is a great coach a big upgrade over Sark. He has to hire some recruiters though.
I always admired what Peterson was able to do at Boise, but that is a much different gig than Washington. The college coaching landscape is littered with coaches whose success at one level did not translate to the next (Skip Holtz, Randy Edsall, and Turner Gill come immediately to mind).Quite the recovery for Washington after losing Sarkisian.

Colorado hired Hawkins, but it seems Peterson was more responsible for Boise's success. Ugh, GO BUFFS
If I am not mistaken Peterson turned down Oregon last year before they went with Mark Helfrich. I am shocked either Oregon didn't offer Peterson the job or he really saw the writing on the wall at Boise. Washington is a top 4 job in the Pac-12, but I like Phil Knight U more than Washington just because of the $$$.
Shaw will probably be in the NFL next yearHighest paid coach in the Pac 12 now. Shaw's agent will be sure to seek out the Stanford AD and President at tomorrow's tailgate.
