Standing "O" for Christmas's play today.

Kid came up big--maybe the best stretch of minutes he's played all year [Cinci notwithstanding], given that Keita wasn't an option. Very solid performance on a big stage, his first taste of the BET.

Must have missed this on the other threads and between watching the game at work with no sound.

What happened to Keita?

I haven't seen an official word on that; some speculation that has simply been benched (JB did say something to the effect of "we are using Rakeem at center going forward" in the post game presser

Fair was sick today, so I was wondering if possibly it is a bug affecting others as well

Absolutely. He was tremendous in his minutes today. Loved that he rebounded with a purpose.

Sorry to hear that he was sick, but also sort of glad to hear it. At least now I feel like there was a reason he didn't really get after it.

I was really impressed with Rak today as well. He seemed to play with a purpose knowing exactly what his job was... REBOUNDING. His throwdown was just the cherry on top. I remember one in particular where he grabbed it in traffic and cleared everyone out. So much better than Baye.

He rebounded like a MAN. I forgot what that looked like...

Watching Rak at the 5 made me drool even more at the possibility of getting Noel. Rak splitting time with DC2 at the 5 with Noel at the 4 and CJ/South rounding out the frontcourt. WOW.

During the game, I was honestly starting to wonder if Cuse wouldn't have been better with Rak in the middle. He was a rebounding machine. I realize that they need Fab to advance deep in the tourny, but with the way he was playing yesterday, Rak may have been a better option. No clue what was going on with Fab, but he clearly wasn't focused or all that intense. Hopefully he and Fair are ready to go tonight.

First off I have to say I love Baye, great kid but he has to get stronger and develop his hands.

Rak has potential to be very good, nice hands, very good shot blocker and has a decent touch once he relaxes. After the ND game I knew that he had to be the backup center and when he's in the game we don't have a 4 on five situation offensively like we do Baye. I hope he is able to contribute like this for 8 to 15 minutes a game for the rest of the 2 tournaments.

Big time potential with Rak. I wonder how Baye wouldve found a way to fumble the pass from MCW out of bounds on that beautiful penetration/dunk play.

I really was hoping that we'd see a little high low with Rak and Fab. Just watching how hard it is at times for us to defend it if these two could be able to do this it would help the offense so incredibly much if teams went to a zone against them. Fair does a nice job because not only can he shoot from that spot but he can also put it on the floor as well but I'd love to see the two big guys do it.
