Why can’t he just get a running start jumpjust before the free throw line and dunk the ball?

Wu has come a long way. But let's face it, if Evans nails that trey instead of hitting the rim, everyone would be moaning about the 2 free throws he missed in the last 1:07 instead of celebrating the 3 he made.

Not just legend. He actually did it at Kansas when his freshman team played the varsity back when freshman could not play varsity. The Kansas St. coach was in attendance that day and later prodded the NCAA to make a rule change,

Because the shooter must not step on or over the free throw line until the ball touches the hoop.
