I love that you've got Seniors, Juniors, Freshmen, a walk-on, Shafer & Dino recruits all together. This team seems very close on & off the field with a singular focus on one common goal. Chemistry is such an underrated part of college athletics. These players want to go out & fight with/for one another.

La Familia & Ohana are so much more than just words/hashtags. The kids have truly bought in.

I would love to know what the incentive was for this, if either the middle finger to a certain ex coach (if the case case Dungy's learned a good life lesson) or if it was just to celebrate with the traditional victory cigar. Either way how bout them Orange(men)!!

I highly doubt it was a slight at SS. Teams all over the country take pics with celebratory cigars after big wins. I've seen pics of 'Bama, Ohio St., & Clemson players do so the past few years.

Just too much of a coincidence. I do know the family of a certain player who won't be named that strongly supported Shafer at the time who were extremely offended at the whole cigar thing. They viewed it as disrespect to his former players/recruits and I agree.

Yep. His beef was with Coyle, the clown trolled his former guys. Dbag move

There's a pic floating around of four of the coaches with cigars right after the game. Cigars are symbols of victory.

When we win - when someone beats us and does it the gesture becomes arrogant and a d--k move.

Oh please. Context does mean something.

Definitely - big difference doing it in your 'own house' than your opponent's 'house'. That's context too.

The circumstances around Shafer doing it (and only Shafer by the way on the MTSU staff as far as I've seen - which REALLY says something) and our coaches or players after a victory like this, after all they've been through the past 3-4 years - it's not even comparable. Their gesture wasn't pointed at Clemson - I can't possibly see how anyone thinks that Shafer's wasn't directly pointed at Syracuse.
