And the realignment rumors keep spinning.

According to a radio host in Nashville on 102.5 the game, the Big 12 — which does not currently have a championship game — is going to add two more teams in the offseason and, according to his information, those two teams will be Cincinnati and Memphis...

It will be good for a quality program like Cinci to find a home in the P5, while uconn continues to be left out in the cold.

aka: The Kaiser Plan

the bevo has done the math, they are being left out of the F4 this year.

Memphis, hmm. is that a good add or bad add? I thought UCF would be next up to P5 behind Cinci, hell maybe before cincy

Memphis has FedEx money. That could hurt the SEC and the B1G. ACC effect is neutral.

They don't have that much FedEx money. Even when the FedEx founder was trying to get them in the Big East, he was only going to pony up $1M. That's pocket change for the SEC and B1G.

But he will and has , pony up the dough big time for facilities. The pressure is on the FIrish now .

Wasnt it 100M over 10 years?

I was thinking it would be Cincy and Houston or CSU when the Big 12 got around to it.. Memphis makes sense in that it expands the B12 footprint along with Cinci. WVU isn't so isolated, and it's a better choice than WKU.

It's not going to hurt anyone but CUSA or AAC or whatever they are in.

What pressure?
If Bevo calculates they could easily be left out , ND must worry even more , especially if B12 will have a title game Champion.

they wont add another texas school.

adding cincy is smart. ohio is a great football state, its got decent hoop and you are also basically adding kentucky too.

not to mention it makes wv happy for whatever thats worth.

memphis helps to also bring back that mizzou & ark area that is missing from the footprint.

and now they get a champ game, which will bring new $$.

those schools will get much less $$ than other bevo 10, but will be more than what theyre getting now and, lets face it...theyve joined the club.

hi storz.

bye storz...again.

Unless there are four other 13-0 P5 teams out there, a 12-0 Notre Dame will find a playoff slot.

It def hurts ND. One more high profile game vs a top ranked team that ND won't have access to.

Point is that it's a premium match up that ND won't have.

Let's say ND has one loss this season vs FSU. But TCU and Baylor (both with one loss) have to play again. Winner gets in over ND. ND would have no games left to prove anything.

My guess is they won't play 9, after going to 12 teams. One of the main reasons they went to 9 was to play a complete round-robin schedule, which they can't do with 12. They also wanted another (up from 8) league game to compensate for not having a championship game.

Exactly. Instead of TCU vs Iowa State - we'd get Baylor vs TCU.

They have FedEx money? Does this mean that each of their games will have a start time of "between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m." and start a day after expected?

Is this guy the new Greg Swaim? Have a hard time believing that Texas will want to associate themselves with Memphis and Cincy. They had to take WVU and TCU for numbers and TCU was an old rival from the SWC days. I can't imagine Texas is pushing for expansion. Maybe it's the other schools with less options because Texas and Oklahoma are looking to break away? This way, the Baylors and Iowa States are absorbing schools rather than being absorbed into the CUSA or AAC?
