Cinci and Memphis to the Big 12 ???

Sounds like somebody's Christmas wish list. I don't see it happening because of the 800 pound gorilla in Austin. Until Texas changes their stance, it ain't gonna happen.

expansion. ;)

Without Cincinnati and Memphis, UConn would have ZERO in-conference games of any consequence. That is awesome for them, actually, in that they can schedule big OOC games in December and one or two in Feb with assurances they will pile up 16-18 freebie wins a year in the AAC. Ollie could end up the fastest coach to 100 wins with competition like that. He'll get 18 wins in AAC play, probably another 6-8 on cupcakes like Quinnipiac, and then 4 - 5 serious OOC games to boost that RPI/SOS. They could be in line for Top 5 and high seeds every year just like Cal's Memphis teams.

In all honesty, UConn should dump football and go back to the BE. They gain nothing in the AAC if Cincy and Memphis leave.

Not that I care, mind you. I'm just pointing out the primrose path that would be laid out for them if the other top BBall programs leave the conference.

what does bevo mean? i have never gotten it

Since the Big12 is really Texas and the 9 dwarfs, they were nicknamed the "Bevo", Bevo being the name of the Texas mascot.

The more you know...

I think you mean Clemson and FSU (laughs to himself).

It would surprise me that BYU wasn't one of their invitees.

But I guess with Cincy and Memphis, you grab a couple of cities with TVs, and give West Virginia some type of gateway off their island.

If GT and Wisconsin win this weekend, 2 more teams won't be added to the Big 12.

I mentioned it before. When referring to the Big 12, I'd prefer that that term would not be used. It's an insult to my late St Bernard..Bevo...and me.

Bevo spent 4 years living with me at Skytop..we're both faithful Syracuse alums. Bevo was named after one of the great early big guy basketball players..Bevo Francis.

Plus I really dislike Texas...the U not the state.

It would be like me referring to the Philadelphia Eagles as the KaiserUEO's.

I respectfully request that that term be permanently retired.

Clemson, FSU, Miami and GaTech.

Oh, and UNC and UVA to the B1G.

Remember that nonsense.

Good times.

Best news West Virginia could get if the Big 12 adds those 2

bevo is the name of texas' mascot.

the conf is run by texas, the other 9 all pay homage to bevo.

and the whole thing is pile of bullshlit.
That's longhornshlit, pardner!

I can't see the Bevo doing this. Texas doesn't care if Baylor or TCU would get dinged for no CCG and be out of the playoffs.

If it was Oklahoma screwed I am sure Texas would atleast entertain expansion or if it was themselves obviously they would. Texas thinks TCU should and kiss its rings for picking them into the Big XII and Texas prolly thinks Baylor should come clean its trophy room for helping keep them relevant when the Big XII formed.

Cincinnati makes sense for future expansion if the B12 moved that way but Central Florida or BYU make more sense than Memphis. I doubt the FedEx guy would spend enough money to make Memphis more appealing.
