Ha!! Let's go with both and call it a draw.I think he was referring to construction logistics (MetLife was built in a parking lot next to venerable old Giants Stadium).
But of course, knowing the Kaiser, you may be right.
MSG was completely gutted and redone and all that was missed was 1 Springsteen tour and a few extra Billy Joel shows. Well, I guess 1 year the NYR opened up with 10 straight on the road, but they made the Cup Finals, so whatever. Things can get done if the right folks are in charge...and that's the Dolans so please.
Tailgating as 1 Stadium rose up and up and up...next to the old one was pretty damn cool too.
But lest be clear, let's say the Dome is sold out, cheeks in the seats 50k...then let's add another 25%...and bus everyone to the new Giants Stadium.
Once there we'd be 20,000 shy of a sellout.
Our best bet would be to do renovations In a year we play both fla st and nd, play em both at Giants Stadium for 100% of the cut and then play everyone else on the road for $$$ too.
