Interesting that he is listed as 6' 9" in the obit. My memory is he was always referred to as a 7 footer at the time. He also took part in an experimental game in which the basket was lifted to 12'. The thought was it would curtail the scoring of the big men. The score of the game was lower, but the big men still had an advantage.
