I love the old "Big Band Era" songs that were done for famous baseball players of the time. That's something else you never see any more, (if they did that it would probably be a profanity-laced rap). Here are my favorites:

I know it was a different era, but that stuff is so corny. I'm glad they don't do much of that anymore. "Hey Jackie Robinson, get a hit" or something like that; barf.

Each to their own. Modern times aren't "corny" enough IMHO.

I think the only baseball-related pop song I like is "Centerfield" by John Fogerty. It is also corny, but I do feel it captures the spirit of baseball.
