Sorry if Whitners tweet is posted someplace else.

@Twitty_Whitty25: Thankful for all my coaches and teammates having my back. Apologize to them for my poor performance just gonna work hard to bounce back.

He needs to never watch that tape again. Just flush that entire game. Keep your head up #25. We need you to keep working.

assuming this is whitner, the punt was bad luck but the late hit was a bad play. at first I thought the late hit was BS, but it wasn't. that was just a flat out bad play and it started the avalanche from a close game to blow out.

The late hit was the play that ended it. We were so excited in the stands. 3rd and 18 (IIRC)... stopped 'em. They have to punt, giving SU a chance to tie the game... Then, what? A flag? Nooooo!

Whitner had his "Dee Brown" moment today.

Brown fumbled on the goal line against NC State in 1997 ... and it was the only fumble he had for the rest of his career.

Whitner will be OK.

IIRC, that was Brown's first collegiate carry, and it was late in the game, with the score tied. Whose bright idea was it to give him the rock in that situation?

I don't think it was his first carry.

You know what - I think you're right.

Same game where we forgot to cover Torrey Holt on the GW 2-pt conversion, right?

Sadly, yes.

: (

Gut wrenching to watch that penalty happen. It was almost like it was happening in slow motion. We lost all momentum after that. I'm convinced if they punt we would have driven down the field and tied the game

IMO, as brutal as that was, the 3rd and 14 conversion on USF's first set of downs on that drive was worse.

We had all the momentum and the USF D would have had to have gone right back on the field

Maybe the most depressing game I've ever had the misfortune of attending in person...

Terrible.

Spotwood was huge early on.

Ugh, don't want to think about that one any more.

It was a penalty. May have been the worst play ive ever seen.

True. Parris bennet missing that tackle was pathetic

I like hyperbole too.

Im not joking. I dont buy his excuse that he couldnt pull up. Hes staring at the wr who gave up on the play well in advance and instead of running around him or maybe grabbing him, he bumps him for no reason. That was a mental error. But just my opinion.

What else can he say? He Knows he screwed up badly, we know he screwed up badly.

I wouldnt know - I was too busy celebrating the stop on the other side of the room.

We wouldnt know from TV - they had it at 3rd and 12 before the timeout and 3rd and 10 after the timeout.

that late hit was some bone headed . The TV camera angle was crystal clear, the ball was overthrown by like 10 yards, a few seconds had passed, AND The USF player was out of bounds already. He should run some laps at practice today.

he is going to be running a lot more than some.
