I wanted to start a thread promoting carpooling to the Clemson game. It's not feasible a lot of the time, but can save a lot of expense that can be used for the Fine Tailgate instead. Parking could be tough to find for Clemson. If you'd like a ride or a rider from your locale, please post.

As for myself, I'd like either a ride or riders coming from south of Syracuse along the Rt. 81 corridor. I'm headed to the game alone, have a flexible schedule, would love to play golf if scheduling permits, and can be the designated driver. I can stay in Syracuse overnight or can drive up early and head back after the game. I'm located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for those coming from the south and can meet along the way north from Virginia. I don't have a parking pass.

I'm looking forward to seeing you there! Let me know if you need a place to stay.

I'm staying near campus. I may have a parking pass though for one of the campus lots. It comes with my weekend stuff. I may not know until I check in on Thursday or Friday for the weekend.

about a 5 minute walk from the fine lot is martin luther king school and they charge five bucks to park there.

there was about 30 cars in the lot saturday

Can't wait 'til they get here ... just hope they park downwind:

Just wanted to bump the thread now that we have a game time. I'll be driving north from NW Virginia about 5 AM on Saturday passing through central PA and through Binghamton, hoping to get to the Fine tailgate about noon. If that's similar to your schedule and you need a rider, let me know. I can drive back after the game or stay somewhere before returning and can be a designated driver. I have a parking pass for Clemson. If it doesn't work for you this game but might work for you in later home games, let me know that too. I have a season ticket and plan on other trips this fall.

Slight hi-jack, but what options are there to get to the dome from the train station? Just cabs?

What time you getting in? Someone might get you.

BTW, Shenexon is a great guy...easy to talk to. Driving with someone talking SU sports makes the drive go by quickly.

Probably have a ride for this game, but was wondering. I'd probably make it up (from nyc) for more games if it were easier to get to the dome.

The cab can't be that much...maybe $10-12. It is only about 3.0 miles to the University. I'd probably just grab a cab on arrival.

Here is the link to Train/Bus station out next to Destiny

what are the parking options if I don't have a pass ?

Aren't there buses between Destiny and campus?

according to this site there's buses from Great Northern Mall and the DeWitt Wegmans

Syracuse University Service
I used to use the GNM bus. It's very convenient as long as you don't mind missing tailgaiting. If I remember correctly, I think it leaves 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
