Clemson fan here

Generally, Clemson fans are welcome here and tend to be respectable posters. I am glad to see Clemson winning again and have grown to respect Dabo Swinney. Glad you beat FSU, I don't hate FSU but I like to see several quality teams in the league, not just one.

I have heard many tales of the great atmosphere on game day. I wish I could be there this year to experience the tradition in person. Hoping to be there in 2018.

However, this one week each year, we do reserve the right to be disrespectful, obnoxious and a downright enemy fan base. NOTE: This only lasts during game week and perhaps the following Sunday or Monday, by which time we have returned to reality (win or lose).

That said: CLEMSON IS GOING DOWN! Your momma dresses you funny! Swinney couldn't lead a team out of a wet paper bag! (I think I got the important points covered).

Obviously, Clemson should win on paper. Whether the emotional toll on the players following the FSU game will have an effect cannot really be measured until game time. The D is there and the O is there, the tool box is full for Swinney and Co.

Where Syracuse has an advantage is in that this is a new offense and gives problems to many defenses. If QB Dungey is protected well enough to get off passes, he can be dangerous. The Syracuse D is coming on, but they will have to stop a proven offense without many flaws.

I do expect a good game. Clemson has been playing down to their competition and Syracuse has been improving. The kids did pull off the VATech upset, so we got that going for us.

Thanks for coming back this year Smith. ALWAYS good having rival fans on our board. Don't be shy and don't be a stranger.

Y'all are cookin' right now. We'd like nothing better than to make a program building statement on national TV. Very unlikely - but in Dino we trust!

Went to a wedding there once in the summer. great place. local bar advertised trivia night with free Moonshine. Sadly i had to leave before that night

Showing up for game week for the fourth year in a row! I just wanted to drop in and wish everyone safe travels and fun weekend in upstate SC - if you're coming to the game that is. If not, you'll just have to enjoy being wherever you are!

Went to the game there two years ago...great atmosphere.

Awesome tailgate!

Hey, I would think a lot less of you if you were coming to town expecting to lose the game. I've been following Clemson football since 1972 and I have never gone into a game conceding a loss. Serious doubts, maybe, but never conceding the loss until it actually happened.

If I had a nickel for every time...
Jake, one of these days I'm gonna get down there to see you and Marie and join in the tailgate. I hope Clemson loses but you're good folks

I was hoping you guys would make it this year! Oh well, hopefully it will happen at some point. Syracuse appears to be in good hands with Babers. He has the team believing in themselves in less than one year. For this year, though, the outcome will probably depend on which Clemson team shows up Saturday - the one that punished a very talented and determined FSU team or the one that gave the ball to NC State inside the 5 yard line 4 times plus throwing a pick six.

You know which one I'm hoping for.

Note to Syracuse fans going to the game: if Clemson players go down, it's OK to boo them. After all, they'll just be faking injuries to slow SU down... even if the Clemson players are on offense.

Well, that's what the Clempsun fans told me 2 years ago when they were booing our injured players. I've never been so furious with opposing fans. It's one of the reasons why I won't be there this time. I'll try again in '18 to see the Orangemen prevail.

They were booing Estime! Not even a defensive player trying to slow down their offense. Heads up, our guys are used to going against a fast paced offense, so if one of our players does go down on defense, chances are it won't be due to lack of conditioning.

Also an offensive lineman.

It was very awkward. "Georgia did that to us to slow us down." That was the excuse that they gave. When I pointed out that is was the SU offense that was on the field they seemed oblivious and just kept booing. Like I said, awkward.

I was at the game, and yes that year (and year before) there was booing when opposing defensive players would be hurt and get better ala a soccer player moments later. That said, I don't remember our fans ever booing a hurt opponent that was after a high collision type play even when opponent is on defense, and have never noticed booing an opponents offensive player. If someone around you did, obviously that's 10 levels of suck...but it was not wide spread or noticeable as a whole.

It was noticeable on TV.

So there's that.

Well if we boo'd an injured offensive player yes, that would not be good...25 years or so I haven't witnessed it nor heard that it had happened until this.

It must have been a bad apple if they did that, reasonable fans don't boo injured players, unless you are from Philly.

I am in no way talking about the nice Clemson fans who have joined us here but Clemson fans love you until you start to be competitive.

The ones on shakin the southland sbnation aren't great. Considering I'm well known for bashing all things Clemson... ;)

The nicest fans in our conference IMO is FSU. Maybe I haven't met the meanies yet though lol.

Well I mean if you got to see the FSU cowgirls at your home games 6 times a year, you'd probably be pretty nice too!

It was a lot more than one... you could clearly hear it from around the stadium.

I'll be back in 2018 for what should be a competitive game.

I may actually head up the day after this year's football game. There's an ACC soccer playoff game on Sunday at 1:00. The teams played at Clemson in October to a 0-0 draw.

The soccer game will be a defensive battle again I imagine.
