Clemson Fan question to board…

It’s the fourth oldest family owned brewery, it doesn’t even make the list of top eleven oldest breweries in the US. But still likely the oldest any of us will ever see. Not sure all those breweries are giving tours.

I’ve only been to Coors in Golden, CO from that list.

Clemson fans are always the classiest fans of any of our opponents, I find it hard to root against them in any of their other games. Enjoy your food and drinks tonight Dusty!
Always been my experience as well. Every trip down there’s a pleasure and not just “bless your heart” falseness but genuine respect and nice people.

True story: the year we’re losing down there big something like 55-0 ultimately, when about 40-0 right before we left some Clemson fans around us engaged us, my NYC born Ny bred cynicism caused my initial reaction to think they’re rubbing it in with fake words of concern solace or whatever word is right where they felt bad for us.

Took a couple minutes of engagement and conversation to make it clear it wasn’t fake or anything “in your face”, rather genuine concern for us two fans stuck in a Clemson section.

To this day remains the most unique and paradoxical sports experience (or life for that matter) I’ve ever had. Me and my psychologist buddy on the way home dissected it all came to the same conclusion and remained surprised by what occurred. Still cooly strange to this day.

So yeah even when they’re up here best opponent fan base ever.

You must not have been in attendance this season. There was a lot of the bless your heart BS as soon as they started coming back. And we were doing nothing to offend those around us, just cheering on our team.

Being backed in a corner changes people. They were lucky a boneheaded play saved them.

A thousand years ago (1995), we hung out with Clemson fans at the Gator Bowl. They were at our hotel, became drinking buddies, even drove us around. They found us Yankees funny. But it was clear they thought we had no business being on the same field as them. It was annoying.

41-0 signs were printed out right after the game. We so badly wanted to back and tape them to all their hotel room doors. But we were checked out and heading to Orlando for a few days. So couldn’t pull it off.

Hey y’all,

Apologies if there is a better board to post questions such as this…

Flying through Syracuse and my flight was cancelled.

Not enough time to make over to your campus to check it out but where should I go for drinks? I probably should get a bite to eat as well…

Btw… took over a new project about an hour away from Campus and will finally make it to our game at your place this year.

Thanks!

Raymond Priester was supposed to run all over our a$$es as I recall

I went to there for one of Shafer's years. It was the 6-16 loss. Fans were for most part nice. One thing bothered me though. Some near us started booing and making nasty comments when a lot of our defensive players went down with cramping. They believed our guys were faking to slow down Clemson's O. I knew we weren't faking, it was happening all the time that year I remember.
I was there for that one.
A big turn off.

I haven’t been back since…. only 2 hours away.

I may reconsider in 2024. Go Orange! :)
