Clemson O coordinator - "SU has the best DE's we faced"

Did anyone catch the interview with Cooper Dawson where he was talking about his overall recruitment? He revealed some interesting tidbits the best of which came from his conversation with Coach Elliot (Clemson O coordinator) which said SU has the best DE's they faced all year. That's a pretty good compliment. Respect is building.

FYI - Cooper says he's a die hard Clemson fan, but chose SU because he wanted to play D. I still wonder if his offer from Clemson was actually commitable.

It was 100% committable.

They didn’t want him for DE, which is where we want him to play.
And where HE wants to play.

Not unlike how we got Stritzinger over Michigan - we promised to give him a shot at RB (and did), where M and the others wanted him for Safety.

He saw the writing on the wall, and switched to S for us.

And made that HUGE INT in the CWB game.

Clemson's offer was committable and when they were told he was signing with Syracuse they offered Fritzsche who also visited Syracuse but wasn't offered.
