Clemson opens -16.5 over Cuse…..

This is a team that was down 16-3 to Troy at halftime last week. Troy lost to Memphis 28-7 yesterday. Clemson is in disarray right now. This is college football and not the NFL. This game is 100% winnable.
I'm torn. I think it is 100% winnable because of Jeff Nixon, but I expect to lose badly because of Elijah Robinson. Hopefully the offense comes out firing on all cylinders after the tune up game and we can contain their offense to some degree. The point spread is telling. I assume it's because we tend to do pretty poorly outside of the Dome.

If they score 30, IMO it will be another red flag for our DC. Exceptions for the O and STs giving up points and/or leaving short fields.

The result of the Tennessee game barely covers this line and Clemson isn't close to as good a team.

How did Georgia D do against Clemson when Fran was there? Maybe Fran takes the reins on D this week?

Essentially Clemson has to run the table and thus the start would have to begin with us. Dabo refusal to play the transfer game will be his end ultimately.

As for our game, if we don't score early and often we aren't winning.

No way our D keeps them under 30. We are being looked at as a "get right" game for them.
Dabo dipped his toe in the water this past offseason. He still has a ways to go before he catches up to everyone.

Lord have mercy! That’s salada points.
Feels like 31-14 where Clemson does enough wrong to not score more.

This is a major line of scrimmage mismatch, can we be creative enough to steal one on the road?

Unless Clemson just goes into complete shut down mode because of already having 2 losses, I just don't see us keeping up.

I want to be wrong so badly, and I'm so often badly wrong.
I've never been high on their QB Kubrick, and I think if Fran can get the team motivated on what Debo said about dumping the Cuse from the ACC, and we make something happen early in the game we have a fighting chance. My biggest concern is the O and D lines, but we hung in against TN. If we can score 30 I think we win this game. Boy would that be nice to rub it into Debo's face. We have nothing to lose so go for it! We are supposed to lose this game anyway. Maybe their QB struggles out the gate and gets pulled...a lot of pressure with a very disappointed fans base.

In my eyes this game is all about our OL vs their DL. They have a few potential top picks on theirs. If they eat us alive, we will get trounced. If we hold our own, we have a shot. If we outright win that matchup I think we actually score a ton of points, which likely means we win.

The plus is we are definitely bigger than in past years. Can we clean up the issues from the first few games?

That’s what I always worry about with teams that have loaded talent but haven’t really played well. Eventually they will, it’s just a matter of when. They may not be great this year but they may not need to be to beat us.

We'll allow it. We'll rush 3 or 4 straight ahead and drop everyone else into a soft zone D that Klubnik will pick apart.

Wish I could be positive about it, but I think they will take it out on us, we aren’t good right now, and don’t know if we will be. They are bad by their standards but still way more talented in the trenches than we are. At the JMA I would have a bit of hope, but not in Death Valley. Get out healthy, that is where I am, sadly!

Doesn’t matter how big we are if we can’t pick up a simple delayed blitz.

Why we think we're better off letting a guy sit back and scan and that coverage will hold indefinitely, and not see if we can at least rush him into getting rid of the ball is beyond me.

If we win the toss, take the ball and see if we can score quickly. If that happens they may cave after the way they have played so far this year.

We sadly don’t do a good job getting to the quarterback even when we blitz. It’s why tremble is out there in a hybrid role. We clearly whiffed on pass rushers in the portal.

I haven’t seen Dabo be anything but gracious. Please provide a link.

Exactly where I am. Don’t trust EROB at all in this one. Soft coverage and no pass rush is not the recipe to beat the tigers.
