And that is clearly why you threw two interceptions and couldn’t get it done
Devin Grant will play at the next level. After being neck & neck with Angeli during camp, that may only be necessary for a short time. I believe Fran when he called it a 51-49 close race. And for all the QB talent last year and this, it might be the coaches who develop the poise we've seen last year and this.
Oh, and I just want to give a big shout out to the great improvement in tackling this year. Really showed thus game with the open field put downs.
Our next goal is beating Duke at home next week. Our next goal should be win at Notre Dame.
Let's celebrate the win first, but also let's no oversell his sale job. We've seen both QBs so we can ignore his long ago coach speak when we were all in the dark. Angeli proved why he was chosen and it isn't any 51/49.
Angeli is composed, accurate, and put SU top 5 in nation in passing. Collins can and will improve but as of right now we all see his warts and shortcomings. We will see.
Losing your QB we might get a few votes, but until Collins can prove that he can win games we won't be ranked.
I hope I am wrong but he didn’t show that he can run this offense effectively.
Biggest difference is he gets happy feet. Either this offense changes to use his legs or strip the playbook down and give it to carney.
At SMU, running game is going to have to step up.Totally agree. Great win. But over a wounded team, and we lost the guy leading the country in passing yards.
Let's see if we can beat Duke next week, and then do we get a bye?

No bye until October 11th. So minimum of two games without Angeli, but I think it will be longer.Totally agree. Great win. But over a wounded team, and we lost the guy leading the country in passing yards.

Thank you. Hope you guys can right the ship. I'm sure you will.First off, I hate that Steve Angeli was injured and I wish the young man a complete recovery soon! Secondly, fantastic win, Syracuse faithful. I'm impressed with your athletes (clutch performances from Angeli, Willis, Cook, Long Jr., Grant, Ross-Simmons, etc.) and I admire the coaching strategies employed by Fran Brown and his staff. Here's to continued success for the Orange moving forward and a great post-season...
Surf City here we come.
Classiest coolest opponent fan base I’ve ever seen both here in the Cuse and on my trips to Death Valley, and it continues. Thank you for the comments. We hope we’re heading toward special times. Without qb1 it’ll be tough but we could still have a good year. Thx again for the visit here.First off, I hate that Steve Angeli was injured and I wish the young man a complete recovery soon!
