Said Andy Katz doesn't have a mean bone is his body and Boeheim won't even talk to him so by extension Ill say whatever I want about this man. Invited Greg Doyel on the show and said we should all give this man a round of applause for going after Boeheim. Doyel and Coachman started ripping JB and I turned it off. I'm all about blowing up Jonathon Coachman's Twitter/Facebook over this. Wayyyyy out of line.

I'm assuming you meant Doyel & Coachman. I heard it during my ride home but in all honestly when JB lashes out the way he did to Andy Katz can he be surprised that he opens himself to criticism? I mean come on, really, think about it. Whether or not Katz had done something to cause animosity w/ Boeheim you can't call people "idiots" in a public forum and not expect some blowback. Jimmy has ample reason to have some disdain for the media but heck, there's a lot of clients I deal with that I wouldn't give the time of day but I still conduct myself in a respectful manner.

Just because someone else behaves poorly doesn't provide license for me to behave poorly. At the end of the day Jimmy can behave any way he wants to. That's his own prerogative but taking offense at people who criticize him for name calling and condescending snarky remarks is flat out ridiculous.
Like it or not, James Boeheim IS Syracuse basketball. When he says things in public in the manner he did toward Andy Katz it also reflects poorly on Syracuse University as a whole.

I certainly an not contending otherwise and not issuing a pass for Katz. The large majority of people have no clue as to what Katz might have said, written, done etc. The issue isn't Katz's transgressions. The issue is Boeheims behavior and my point is that regardless of what Katz did Boeheims very public vitriol opened himself up to criticism.

Fact is these media people have a voice because us fan(antic)s love team sports so much. Doyle loved jb going off on him because it fed into his ego. I'm sure he knew jb was going to react that way. If he didn't, he is insane. (Definition of insanity is doing same thing over and expecting different results.). I agree w poster above who is basically saying jb is above these clowns and only brings himself down by lashing out, but we as fans shouldn't "blow up their twitter". We should simply hit the ignore button.

Actually I wish he'd only say "why?" with a smile to every question and if they ramble on with some answer- say "why" again each time till they tire themselves out.
