I do believe that Coach Marone was a little paranoid before the Rutgers game last year. And I think the players picked up on it. If you recall the season went down hill from there.
I'm hoping for the sort of game from SU as Marrone's first game v. them in 2009. That was a wild one with SU players flying all over the dome field.
no we went down and had to kick a fg to beat a horrible Tulare teamDidn't we beat WVU after the Rutgers game?
Haha - good one,What a wealth of information this thread has been
So HCDM's paranoia caused the injuries to mount?no we went down and had to kick a fg to beat a horrible Tulare team
Marrone was paranoid about the injuries getting out in the media - and rightfully so, we lined up with both starting corners with casts on their hands, it wasn't good, this is when the injuries began to mount
Thats right. But before the Rutgers game he was a little off the wallDidn't we beat WVU after the Rutgers game?

I'm not sure how much a role DM's attitude played in anything but I do remember him being borderline suicidal in the pressers leading up to that game. Strange vibe for a head coach to be putting out there, even if it was warranted with injuries/lack of depth, etc. Did it cause the problems that followed? I have no idea but it was a weird week.[/quote I am glad someone picked up on it.
