Coach P to the Lions

I had to wait until 56... don't miss it at all.
It’s all gravy after 55. And like you it may turn out to be 56,57 as i’ll still have a few rolling through college. But the smile gets a little wider at 55

Can’t believe Coach P is still getting major slots at this point in his career. Good for him.

I was torn on him at UConn...I didn’t want that program to succeed, but I hated to see those mouth breathing nobody football school fans rip on him as he’s achieved more in football than that entire program’s history. Torn on him at conference rival BC too, obviously. Now I can casually root for his team to do well.

Nice Syracuse flavor in Detroit:

Patricia, Pasqualoni, Brian Stewart, Chris White.

Detroit Lions fans' collective reaction to plucking a 69 year old defensive line coach from Boston College to be their defensive coordinator...

Regardless, this 2018 Lions team intrigues me and I'll certainly be rooting for them.

God bless him, he doesn't photograph well.

Al Golden as LB coach

And Patricia was at SU when the Orange played Ga Tech in the Kickoff Classic vs. his QB coach, George Godsey.

If Coach P keeps getting better maybe we can pick him up in his 80s. Or maybe later if they perfect that brain-in-a-jar technology

I'm personally glad to have him. Guy has the 2nd most wins of any SU coach ever behind Ben and we see just how hard it is to win here since he left.

“It was obviously a great opportunity for me to go home,” Patricia said last week of working with Pasqualoni. “Syracuse was home for me, and when you grew up in that area there really is no professional sports, so at the time it was Syracuse football, Syracuse basketball, that’s kind of what it is out there. And to have that opportunity to go back and then just to see kind of Coach Pasqualoni’s, the way that he handled the team, the way that he coached the team and the way that just everything was in order, very much sort of how you would want a football team run.”

Didnt know patricia graduated from vvs high school.

Is that his “I gotta poop” face?

Very nice tribute from a very bright coach who has worked for arguably the greatest coach of all time.

Should have won that game!

I'm not taking anything away from him, I swear. But it wasn't as hard to win here in the 90s as it was at the turn of the century. All the check cashing schools decided to start pumping money into their programs. Our admin sat on the success that came easier when no one in our region was really trying.

It stopped being easy to win while he was still here. And it was getting harder every year as Rutgers bankrupt themselves into caring, Pitt leveraged the Steelers, UConn had a helicopter parent with a lot of $$.
