first time coaches always make this mistake. I wonder if deep down they know that failure or success is mostly random and out of their control and they'd rather fail with their friends than blame themselves for not hiring their friends.

He survived getting fired for cause before coaching his first game which probably should have happened think its all 'gravy' for him from here on out.

He is a really good position coach. He is not a head coach. Nor should he run a defense. Just my opinion. I look back on 97 and 98 teams and my god look at all the first round picks we had. We shoulda won the whole damn thing. We would kill for that talent now cause we would be playing with Clemson and a Tech.
