GMAC - Positives - Kids play hard, unselfish, and play for each other
GMAC - Negatives - Offense system terrible and dated.

System ranking was third in his conference. He scored that much against Duke mind u. Their offense works whether it’s close to ours or not. Not difficult to learn a better version of our offense that works. Obviously his does.

What about Doty's skill set makes you think he could handle FAR more athletic defenders in the ACC?

The kids quickness is absolutely off the charts to be able to create, by either going to the hole, making short jumpers or rather distributing when guys come to him, also athletic enough to make off-balance shots as well all on top of a sweet stroke from deep at an almost 35% clip from deep. Add in 7 rebs a game and 2+ assists, 85+% FT shooter and you have a Kid can who can do it all.

Most of that translates well to any level as he’s athletic as anyone at any level I’ve seen play...

You don't think that playing 3 guys down didn't have anything to do with that? See I do. He coached an exhausted team against a great team. And his team was right there. We can spin this anyway anyone wants to. But this board had a season long love affair with a coach whose team didn't show for most of the game today. And have also crapped on Gerry all year. We saw them both in their most important games of the season. Gerry is limited with this team because they can't shoot. It's tough to run great sets when you can't shoot. Now, I want to see Gerry, as I have said all year, what he can do without Doty. But he has my great respect right now.

I hope our AD doesn't make sweeping decisions based on 30 minutes of basketball.

Impressed with the heart Siena played with today but come on. The head coach of Howard has them down 4 to Michigan, should we hire him?

These teams are going to have the adrenaline going, its the biggest game of their lives, and the one seeds aren't going to come out like they're playing another one seed in the national championship game.

And I really don't care what Jim Boeheim, Joe Girard, or Cole Swider have to say.

I do also hope seeing what these coaches that are up and coming showed when put on the biggest stage is considered. It does matter. It also matters that if there are more seasoned guys in the mix we aren’t aware of like say a Chris Mack you lol at them a bit harder along with the coaches that stepped up.

BH had his biggest test as a HC today and underwhelmed. So far the same for PMJ and it’s not gone well.

It’s important that is at least part of the consideration when trying to make a decision.

Again BH had a couple guys you want to look at for portal adds and the top one was awful..

I've been offline most of the day except for a few glances at the board and there is NO way that I am going back through all of this.

Assuming GMac is the choice after the way Siena acquitted themselves today, will he be able to unify the donors and start to clean up the gigantic mess that has spawned this thread?

This is what concerns me too. Gmac comes in and gets the bag from Melo. OK now are we really running a backcourt with Doty and Kiyan? I'm sorry but come on.

Any coach we bring in should not have to deal with the baggage. Don't get me wrong we need the NIL bag but we dont need Kiyan starting next year.

I'm going on record and have been saying from the beginning there's no way they're hiring Hop as HC. Even the casual fans would be annoyed.

The only way this could possibly happen, IMO, is if someone writes a really, really large check to back him for the next 3-4 years.

It's been 10 years since Hop recruited our territory.
I'm sure he would be well received when he goes back to old stomping grounds, but most of those folks are in new jobs now.

Spend big on a really good OC and we might have something here. No idea how much high end OCs are commanding.

His offense does good things. Things we don’t do. Extremely unselfish. All without 3 point shooters.
