Wasn't there also supposed to be a search committee? I never saw an announcement as to who is on it like we did for the AD. Or did they just end up canning the committee?
Because bottom line is that we are on a tight timeframe here.

Yes but they didn’t say the names like they did for AD. Have to think at least some are the same (ie Tirico). JB indicated he’s not on it.

I do think Gallo has a bright future, should maybe take a slightly lower level job than cuse first, but so should Gmac and we all know how that might end, but what he has done at Merrimack with pretty low assets and expectations even for that level is impressive.

I just read the last 50 pages and my eyes are bleeding. Never have I been more proud of this community.

Now let's get a damn coach already and get a roster. Whether we have $1 or $100M towards NIL, I think we'll have a basketball team next year. And unless we hire a cardboard box, we'll have a better coach.

Who that is yet? Who knows. But wise men on this board have said not to worry about things you can't control. So I'll do that.

All that being said - everyone on this board was ready to flip out about 25 years ago when Julius Hodge committed to NC State. We dodged a bullet there and got the perfect piece of the puzzle, and we could have dodged a similar bullet for a perfect puzzle piece with Hodgson too.

Hodgson is the perfect fit and one of the top 2-3 candidates this offseason. Some of us who pay attention to this stuff and study the analytics, in fact, wanted him last year.

I don’t discount that some on this board may have insider information , but for FWIW, I remind us that collectively as a board we once went down a road with the football hire that ultimately proved to be a dead end—only to later realize the ultimate road was one many of us didn’t even knew existed by name at the time

You're all just missing the long term vision in a Hopkins hire. He can recruit, so we'll probably put 5-10 guys in the NBA over the next five years while going .500 or a little under.

Those guys make bank in the NBA, and they're the NIL donors of the 2040s. By the time they're ready to donate we should have worked our way through Coach McNamara, Coach Devo, and Coach Onuaku... Then we'll finally be ready to go outside the family just as the NIL starts rolling in.
