Coach Search Options after Autry

Here is tonights math question: How many people must donate $44 in order to purchase one basketball player who is a 6th man off the bench.

One non-conference saturday dome crowd.

We should have an NIL day. Get your $44 commemorative t-shirt at the door. If you’re not wearing one in the crowd, you look cheap.

There is a difference playing in the MAAC also but people dont see to care about that.
I guess you haven’t read all 550 pages of this thread.

Olen seems like a good coach. I think it’s an extreme stretch to think he’s the top candidate to take over as Syracuse HC. There are at least a half dozen candidates that appear to be a better fit.

Groce had a rough go at a good job at Illinois but he is a very good coach

I have to look into what happened with him because most of his career his teams really struggled with offense and now the last two years, his offense has been great. I think the two brothers got some help with the offensive side of the ball because their offense sort of took off recently.

BH was a year or more in the making - at any point they never considered the NIL situation? I have no words.
I utterly refuse to believe that, I believe this is a character issue and has nothing to do with this way pretty Girlfriend 0. I think there was honestly some bad blood several years ago and it was not forgotten, possibly rightfully so I have no idea,

Yup I haven't read all the pages. I just jumped in tonight.

I think realistic four would be

Murray - UCONN ASST
Martelli Jr - VCU
Groce - Akron
Steele - Miami OH (This one scares me but I cant argue with the offense)
The last 2 scare me because of their previous struggles at higher level programs. The lack of HC experience gives me pause about Murray, though I'd take him over the other 2 for his upside. I think Martelli is the safest pick with the chance to be really good. Besides his coaching success in each of his 3 seasons, including making the tournament w/ 2 different teams, he has great bloodlines and beat Hodgson by 12 this year.

If Olen is seriously considering a move from the west coast, he is one of the best coaches on the market. Top 3 easily. You’ve either never watched one of his teams or are blinded by orange glasses

D1 has much more recruiting and NIL job requirements. DIII does not.

The difference between high D1 and low D1 to low D1 and D3 reminds me of a quote from Brian Scalabrine after he torched a bunch of former college players 1-on-1 as an old man, “I’m closer to LeBron than you are to me.”
