Coach Snyder is one of the best coaches of all time in my book and also pretty classy. It's not the first time he has sent a note like this, but maybe it is the first time to the kicker who beat him

No doubt, Bill Snyder is a GREAT coach and man.
Not for nothing, but HCBS is one of a very few who could get away w/ sending a note like that. In today's ultra-competitive CFB environment I couldn't see a Saban, Meyer, or Sweeney sending out congrats for game losing kicks. Times have indeed changed.

Got a chance to meet Coach Snyder a few years ago. I was pretty amazed by how humble, soft spoken, and just genuinely nice he was. Really good dude.

There was more to it. There was also some pre-game shoving in which UM's WR Tyrone Diggs got suspended a game (partially for pushing a ref in the face), Edsall was reprimanded and the school fined.
