Coaches are workin it..

I am trying very hard to stay positive during this years recruiting process, but I also have to play devil's advocate a little. So far Penn St., Pittsburgh, and Rutgers have lost their head coaches in wake of child abuse, head coach texting peace out, and Schiano leaving a week before signing day. If Syracuse can't out recruit some of these schools considering the circumstances (considering they are our rivals or close to when you consider where we recruit), then I consider it a big fail by the coaching staff. They have had every advantage you could think of to steal or get recruits to come here. If Rutgers can steal our best RB prospect after Coach P leaves, why can't we return the favor?

Family issues were one of the reasons Jeff went to RU last year. I believe these issues still exist. He would be an unbelievable addition to the Cuse staff, but I doubt he would make a lateral move.

there were no family issues for him as a reason to go to ru last year.

you seem to know a lot about rutgers for not being a rutgers fan.

Let's face it-We don't have many recruiters on this staff. Wheatley and maybe Adkins. That is probably it.

I tend to agree and it's highly doubtful there is going to be any last minute flips and exciting news for Syracuse. The only thing exciting I see happening for Syracuse is Manley and Brantley reaffirming to Syracuse, Wayne Morgan jumping on board and saving Whitehurst. Other than that nothing else is going to happen.

The Hilliard thing is interesting but I've seen absolutely nothing corroborating the visit rumor.

Difference is we haven't been recruiting most of these guys all along...

Look how many of their recruits had offers from us. Not more than 10 kids, most of whom we weren't finalists for. Ray Rice was between us and Rutgers. None of the prospects we have offered that are committed to these schools are down to Rutgers and us.

Not sure how it's a "fail" by our staff to evaluate the players they like and get them to come here. I'd much rather get kids out of Georgia than NJ.

Bnoro is right on the money here, as I noted earlier in thread we really didnt have a lot of commits in common this year due to the early recruiting. Unfortunately this is the one year where RU and SU didnt do a lot of battle for recruits.
