there's no doubt Coughlin is dead man walking with the Giants. I'm curious to know, historically speaking, why Coughlin wasn't given a strong look when Mac left in 90? If he left the NFL for BC, i would think he would have done the same for Syracuse.

Im confused...what rationale is needed in this statement? Coughlin is not going to be with the Giants for very long.

If he'd be willing to do it I'd love to see him come in as QB coach/Asst. HC to coach up the QB' and the OC and help Shafer grow in the position.
