The following roles need to be filled:

HC
OC, QB, RB, WR, TE, OL
DC, DL, LB, DB
ST

12 roles, 10 staff positions. Things I would love to see.

HC with experience so that he can assume OC/DC duties if need be. Or just QB.

OC/DC with experience, who also doubles as a position coach.

Full-time ST coach. Toss in TE if needed.

In general I want guys who know the ropes at their jobs already. We are a development schools, so we need to have as many guys actually developing as possible. Shafer's staffing was not ideal in that regard.

Out of the candidates being discussed, which could realistically take on coordinator or positional duties?

ST coach is not a position that is filled anymore.

Daoust was the primary coach for ST this year. I would say he did a damn fine job of it while coaching the DL.

Regs state only a certain number of coaches. What coach are you going to eliminate?
HC
OC/QB, RB, WR, OL
DC, DL, LB, DB
TE/ST

DC should help with one position, preferably LB IMO.
