For the 1st time in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, an NCAA Division 1 (FBS) coaching staff will join forces with Elite Football Academy to Coach Ottawa’s Football Elite!

This One-Day event will provide athletes with the opportunity to learn from the football coaches of the Syracuse Orange, including:

Greg Adkins – OL and Recruiting Coordinator
Steve Morrison – LB and Canadian Recruiting Coordinator
Tim Daoust – DL
Evan Rothstein – Quality Control, Offensive Backs and Receivers
Stephen Brown – Quality Control, Operations/Recruiting
William Hicks – Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Performance

Good for them, just like the day camps in Buffalo and NYC. Up 81 and left and right on the 401 should be SU territory.

We have a Canadian recruiting coordinator?

Canada has produced some good players ... we should be targeting there

Didn't Mac and P go after Canada pretty hard back in the day?

Yep, Kane, Young, Pilon brothers, Bary. Like NYS, it's a numbers thing. A population that size is going to produce some kids every year capable of playing BCS level football. It's a matter of finding them.

I guess so, I think that's a very good idea. There's been a few good players from there. I think Westerman was from there.

Of course we should recruit Canada. We are close and there are some plays there. Just never knew we had a designated Canadian Recruiting Coordinator.

Not to mention the Canadian WR, Woodcock!

Tevaun Smith is a WR from Canada who is going to Iowa I believe.

There is a large population up in the Toronto area. You would imagine they could produce at least a couple legit recruits every year. They may start out as athletes and take a couple years to see the field but it's not a bad idea. Any place we can make our own recruiting wise is a bonus.
