I haven't seen any mention of the improvement he has shown in a short period of time. His field goal attempts have been very blockable line drives until the Clemson game where his kicks looked awesome. 2 for 3 from 42 yards or beyond is a good night, especially in Death Valley. Good job Cole!

Big props to Cole. Especially on that 50 yarder to end the half. It was a good feeling to see Clemson fans dejected at halftime.

Considering how unsettled PK was heading into the season--to say nothing of Norton's inconsistencies on and off the field--Murphy has been great. And not just stop gap, either--kid has shown a deep leg.

That miss on Saturday, while unfortunate, doesn't in my mind detract from an otherwise strong season from Cole. Kudos to him for getting the job done.

Yeah agree, should be a good competition between him and the Freshman coming in this summer in camp. I bet the coaches weren't expecting that, good to have though.

And I put the one miss as much on the snap as on Murphy. Dixon did a good job of getting the hold down, but the snap was well behind him and that may have distracted Murphy enough to make him push it.

Agree as soon as I saw the snap I knew he would be hard pressed to make that FG.. Dixon did a nice job but the timing was messed up..
