Even with the disadvantages the program has, his staff has been able to bring in more high end kids then we've seen in a very long time. Just gotta find the right underrecruited kids to build depth because thats the reality of recruiting to this program.

I think what Marrone and staff were able to pull off in recruiting was more impressive because of how many hits they got out of kids with little/no offers. I think that could be related to more local connections but also because that staff was filled with NFL guys that might have been able to identify high-ceiling talent better. I dont know. Just theorizing here.

Back to the point, I think Dino and his staff would look like good recruiters at almost any other P5 program in the country. Syracuse just is what it is right now. Not saying recruiting can't get even better, but it's definitely an uphill battle.
