For the first time in eons, I am watching ESPN gameday and daydreaming about those guys at SU in November for an FSU/Clemson at SU game. My memory isn't so bad that I can't remember when there were games here with national implications. I want that again so badly.

Never hosted. Just the road team. Those 2 games didn’t go so well.

2001 Syracuse at Miami were College Gameday affairs.

We got beatdown in both game.

So... which would those have been? Keep in mind, our best victories may not have been the most hyped games that week. But my guess:
