Clemson will come back to town when Devito is a Senior in 2 years. Guessing that will be the next logical chance for Gameday to comeback. But they need to make it a Week 1 or Week 2 game, because with Syracuse you really can't risk us too much and later in the season is a risk, yes even Week 3 apparently.

The only chance we ever have of getting it is a Clemson game or OOC game with Notre Dame (or another power we schedule in the future). If Tommy is as good as we hope he is by then, would he still be here? He'll have his degree after next season.

I know why we don’t have it, but I think the reason the past Clemson win and almost win are crazy is because we “weren’t supposed” to be able to achieve it. I’m not complaining, I just think the narrative still kind of works. Given our recent showings, I get it. Want to prove their decision wrong but would settle for at least a competitive game.

The fact that we lost by 43 and that the game was over by half time, there was no way ESPN could award us their "Game Day" presence/reward after such an embarrassing and inconceivable debacle.
