College Games at Yankee Stadium

We all know that SU played the first college game in 1923, but I was surprised to see that WVU played Penn State there the following week (to a 13-13 tie). During the 20's and 30's NYU was a big player in college footbal and played all their home games there. This link has all of the games played at Yankee Stadium

Our overall record at Yankee Stadium (old and new) is 6-1 according to the year-by-year list, not 6-0 as the overall list states. Very odd that Georgetown (who still sucks, for those of you keeping score at home) has played almost twice as many games at Yankee Stadium than SU has.

I noticed that the recap on this page conveniently ignores our loss to Army which they correctly show in the year by year list. I especially enjoy the fact that Ruttie has a 3-7 record there with some glorious losses to NYU back in the day:

NYU 33 - RU 0 '30

This must have been during Rutgers "down period" which by my reckoning has spanned 137 years!
