I got some nice gifts today, but the only one that I had requested was the Pitoniak book about JB. So far, it is an interesting read. However, on page xvi in the Introduction chapter on lines 17-18, it says, "But the guy who grew up in Lyons, a tiny canal town 45 minutes east of Syracuse..." Clearly, Mr. Pitoniak needs some geography lessons or a better proof-reader. Still, it is a good book for all of us that are crazed about SU bball.

I gave it to our family friend today, regretting I hadn't even had a chance to peek inside it. And what do you know? He gave one to me! :) Perfect for an airplane trip.

What makes that more silly is I believe Scott is a Rochester guy, so obviously he knows that area well

I found it curious that there was no Bernie Fine in the index at all. Not one single mention of the guy that was his assistant coach for his entire career?

Is that possible...was Fine excluded because someone knew what was going on...a conspiracy...oh no...another investigation!

The book is about JB, not Fine. Why would he be in there? There is a list of people interviewed for the book, and Bernie was in the list.

Actually he may have grown up in Lyons, but during his High School years he lived in Rome ...and went to and graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1973.
