Not quite identical, but remarkably close. I'm not making a statement here, just sharing some fascinating stats.

I got these stats off of Wikipedia. Can those numbers be right? Six less games a season? Somebody edify me.

16 to 11 final fours. It doesn't explain the entire difference.

On Wiki... Desko's record only goes up to 2020.

Add in 7-6 for 2021 and he's 265-92, .742

And Slugger coached 28 years, not 18 (1971-1998)

That gets Slugger to 13.7 avg games a year, and Desko to 15.5 avg

Thanks for the correction. That makes more sense. All the same, the records are remarkably similar which is the only point I intend to make here.
