Once upon a time I was pretty much a Duke hater but... you've got to hand it to them and especially coach K. Their program is no doubt one to be looked up to as an example of a well run program. K does it all. He recruits, he cultivates his players and his teams, he is a great in game coach for making adjustments during the game as well as throughout the season.

He recruits kids who are high character, smart, gutsy , skilled and team players. Those 2 freshman guards were absolutely phenomenal. 4 freshmen on that team were key players. Okafor, Jones, Allen, & Winslow. Now there is one heck of a freshman class. WOW... just wow. They were really impressive and they deserve credit.

Made some tough shots and did what had to be done when it was needed. Anyone who appreciates college basketball should recognize that team was very impressive and deserves credit. Nothing is easily handed to a team that carves out a route to a national title, it's all hard fought for.

Really? Classy fans have the ability to recognize the accomplishments of their rivals and offer praise and recognition. All other teams and fans are really just reflections of ourselves differing usually only as a result of chance and happenstance.

After what Coach K said about JB through this whole thing, my respect for him has grown. I have no problem rooting for Coach K in this tournament.

I'm kidding. It just felt like right thing to say. I wanted wisky to win so bad

It's all good. ;) I wanted Wisconsin in the worst way myself. I thought that their victory over Kentucky had made them the National Champions by proxy or default automatically. They will forever hold a special place in my heart for taking those guys down. Both Wisky and Duke are classy outfits. KY (jelly) not so much.

meh...

that's better than what I normally say after they win.

I'm not completely disgusted at a Duke win but I also really wanted Wisconsin. I liked their team and players. I don't like Bo Ryan & the B1G and the ACC gets another champ so I guess it's a push. Still funny to see YET AGAIN Duke get the benefit of the doubt from the refs. I mean when that happens year after year, game after game its more than a coincidence.

It's only fair to give credit where it's due. The two best players they had last year at this time are gone (Parker, Suleimon) and they had only eight scholarship players, four of whom are freshmen. It's quite an accomplishment when seen in that light.
