Okay, Brinkley and Delone both played in that game, were they hurt at the end? Because unless they weren't available it isn't so much a question of talent on the team as usage of that talent.

Don't know of they were hurt. Jumbo package maybe? I guess Chiara carried the ball for the same reason Dee Brown did.

Btw, a young Carter had 5 carries for 5 yards.

Looking back how does a team with Curtis Brinkley, Delone Carter, Tony Fiametta, Mike Williams, Taj Smith and Ryan Durand ends as horrible as it was.

Because Durand couldn't block the whole DL? Taj Smith only played 4 games? Williams sat out a couple games? 3 of our 4 leading receivers were Ferron, Moss and Lane? Matt Hale?

I'll go with the first one.

I mean, do any of us REALLY expect a coach to be able to answer such a hard-hitting question?

Looking back how does a team with Curtis Brinkley, Delone Carter, Tony Fiametta, Mike Williams, Taj Smith and Ryan Durand ends as horrible as it was.

There aren't a lot of college football teams that win with a true freshman RB, true freshman WR, first year JUCO WR. Then when the JUCO WR went down in game 4 for the season, there just wasn't much we could do. Was Brinkley all that healthy that year? I recall 2006 and 2007 he played on one knee. 2008 he was finally healthy.

I don't mean this to defend the coach, I think I've been pretty clear about how unprepared he was. But not really fair to throw those names out there and say how could you not win? That team was inches from a 4-1 start with that one loss being a road game at the eventual ACC champ.

It all worked out in the end though because he's not here anymore.
