Dan's expressed the same dream from the time he graduated from SU that Marrone did
- to come back and become a part of SU football again. So glad he's still here.

this is great news. trust me the S&C guys all coach and this is a nice little way to have the LB coach able to be with the players all season long - no limitations.

This is good to hear. I really think the move was almost entirely recruiting based. I was always fairly impressed with Conley as a coach, although our LBs did suck down the stretch (like the rest of our team). Glad he's going to be hanging in there with SU.

Glad Conley will still be a part of the program. As a NY high school coach I can tell you having him recruit was a huge asset. He played in the program and could really add his own experiences at Syracuse to the process.

I have been hearing that Marrone was very hands on especially the last few weeks. Apparently, at least on the defensive side of the ball, he was micromanaging every aspect. Including going through every single drill that should be done in practice. I am not sure if this was also the case on offense too or not. I also heard rumblings of "the way to be successful is to bring in NFL coaches." As a fan and alum I really don't like the sounds of any of this. Up until his point I have supported Marrone 100%. I am not a full fledged doubter, but I am no longer at 100%.

Agreed. Conley lives and breathes Syracuse football. I am very glad he will be staying with the program.

Here Here for Dan...not sure what the strength guys do on gameday...but I hope he continues to make passes through our tailgates.
