Cooney bad back?

I mentioned in the game thread that he looks a step slower this year than last. Doesn't help his shot or defense. Last year that was missed breakaway was a power dunk. He has no legs.

There has clearly been something wrong with him for some time now. He can't even walk normally...

JB with Cooney reminds me of Torre with Tanyon Sturtze and Scott Proctor.

I hope we have more options at the 2 next year...Cooney clearly cannot sustain the mins he has gotten the last two years.

Cooney has a sprained back.

Doubt we'll see him again this season.

Well there is Richardson. But that's really it. What we cant have this year or next is a back court of Patterson and Joseph. One of your guards has to be an outside threat at least a little.

Malachi will play 5 minutes a game.

Maybe.

But defense will be a big issue.

At the presser JB said it's been stiff for a few days but that Cooney said he's OK.

Trainer just said it's sprained.

He's hardly okay.

He can't play.

If Malachi only plays 5 minutes a game next year they might as well extend the post season ban. He'll play 20 + and possibly start.

do ya think boeheim ever checks his car's oil ? or does he believe that since they are parked so much the engine really doesn't need any lubrication ? just run it !

Sprained or strained? I'm no doctor, but I've never heard of a back sprain

Malachi will get more than 5mpg. Who knows if he'll learn the defensive rotations quickly enough, but the defensive ability is certainly there.

G can't play the 2?
