Cooper Lutz

Tough kid but I feel like he should be our slot receiver. Always wondered why he got no chance there. Tough middle of the field catch everything and get some RAC guy.

This year happy with him at RB of course.
3rd down back

Well I know he can be/do that.

Just saying imagine if he got used like we used Sean Riley last year. I’m sure he’s a big upgrade.
I don't know what happened to those passes. Even Sean Riley couldn't be Sean Riley.

I was impressed with Cooper today. He did well catching in the flat and making some nice blocks! RS-Soph correct?

Lutz is a horse and I love the kid...that said Tucker would’ve run for 150+ yards today. Lutzy leaves a lot of yards on the field. It’s the difference between #1 and #5
Well technically going into the season it was a #5 and #6. I think its an awareness/vision difference. Tucker has really impressive vision. Lutz got ankle tackled by surprise a couple times on runs that could have been big gains. He also missed a couple opportunities to cut back. We will see if he picks up on that stuff on film and learns from it.

Having Pierre ahead of Tucker and Lutz on the depth chart makes me question the coaches judgement. I hope they don't just play the most experienced guy unless it's supper obvious the younger guy is so much better.

The depth chart for Wake was:
1. Tucker
2. Lutz
3. Pierre

Lutz got 15 carries. Pierre got 1 carry.

It is also possible that young guys start to figure things out as the season goes on and improve. Then they pass people on the DC and move up the order of PT.
It’s Lutz 3rd year

agreed but I said way way way back that I thought Tucker would contend for starter snaps. In my mind he was #3 going into camp, even ahead of Jordan. I think Lutz is pretty much at his ceiling right now. Tucker is light years ahead of him.

Lutz is also light years ahead of Pierre. Pierre must be a practice all-American.

Unfortunately it seems that way on offense. Does not appear the same on D. Dino’s perception of the offense seems to be that you are not ready unless you have been in the system 2 to 3 years.

Why do you think Lutz is at his ceiling?

If Air Force and Navy were interested in him, that's good enough for me!

I believe Harvard & Columbia also! Dude is certainly gifted on the academic front as well.

Gutsy Kid and a “Football Player“ not just an athlete Playing football. Will be part of the solution.
