For some time now, I have received the following message when trying to paste supposedly-allowed file types in a post. It doesn't matter if it's a jpg, jpeg, gif, webp, etc. The picture below shows the result of pasting a gif file.

I used to be able to do this (before the last script update?). No change in my browser or operating system.

I've that for ages.

You can't copy and paste an image.

You have to copy the link to the image (if it's a jpg or gif).

Otherwise you have to save the image to your hard drive and convert it to a jpg.

Which is what I have to do. But before, I could just copy and paste a jpg, gif, etc.

I often just take a screenshot if it says it’s not a supported file extension.

It's because the graphic is too large. Do a screen capture and cut the part you want.
I've checked files that won't load. They are under the 2MB limit.

Like I said, this used to work.

Post a link to the graphic. It's probably a tiff.
I used to be able to copy a gif/jpg and paste it. Now I get the error message above.

For example, here is a link. If I try to copy/paste - error. if I post the link, just a URL appears. If I save the image and them upload it, it appears (see below). That is, of course, workable. It's just several steps more than I used to have to use. Thanks for looking at this, Tom.
