yes, I understand nassib will be QB, and teddy was a 5 star for whatever thats worth. Broyld has a bigger build and is prob as fast as teddy...passing wise it might be a scratch, but if he can come in and play well as a freshmen I dont see why Broyld cant do the same thing.

I mean does LVille have that many more O weapons then we would next year...I don't think so...those damn dual threat qbs work wonders and make o-lines look greater then they really are.

If I had to guess... which I do, cause I don't really know a whole lot about each guy... I would guess that when it comes to level of competition, level of coaching, and pure volume of snaps at QB, Teddy crushes Ashton. This doesn't mean that Ashton can't be just as good as Teddy, but it does mean that I think expecting him to make a similar immediate impact is stretching it.

Honestly, I don't think Broyld comes close to Teddy. I would love for him to be better, or even match Teddy's abilities as a true freshman but I don't think Broyld has the capacities. At the very least, definitely not his first year.

Doug wont go for it so it doesnt matter. To unstructured for him.

Broyld carries academic issues and behavioral issues with him - I'm not guessing he'll burst on the scene as a QB ready to excel.

You really need to give the Marrone-bashing a rest. We all get your opinion, which you've hammered into the ground about as far as it will go.
Joe do yourself a favor and dont read my post. The fact is that Doug didnt play another QB at all this year. why would anyone think that he will do anything different next year given the fact that nassib is back? Sorry but Doug is too conservative to give Broyld a shot next year and im sure the kid could use a RS. I just hope that he gives Hunt and Kinder a shot.

we are stuck with nassib- thats written in stone

but he isnt the weakest issue on offense anyway-untill marrone finds a oline coach or gets the one he hired to earn his pay and finds a way to keep players like macky on the sidelines
we wont run anything other than the "dead horse" offense we have seen for 3 seasons

its not like we have already seen DM use a qb in more wildcat passing/running plays when they were not ready to be a full time QB.. and yes UL has more weapons.

I agree that DM is conservative, probably even too conservative (for my liking anyway). However, I also believe that DM must/will go "all in" next year to get to a bowl. I think he will play ANYONE who he believes gives him/the team the best chance to meet that goal.

TB was a pretty big recruit, so I'm guessing he's a much more polished QB than Broyld. That said, AB is a big time athlete and if DM or whoever molds the offense to suit his skill set, who knows how good he can be.

I think his point is that in almost every thread you post in, you take a shot at Marrone. It does grow tiresome.

To your question about "does L'ville really have that many more weapons?" Yes, they really do.

WR Devante Parker 4* Frosh, WR Michaelee Harris 4* w/ high major offers, RB Vic Anderson 4* w/ high major offers, RB Dominique Brown 3* w/ Ohio State offer, TE Josh Chichester 4* w/ Ohio State offer.

Now I'm not a huge fan of the star system but when recruits have offers from Ohio State, Miami, Tennessee, etc. to go along with the stars then I buy in a bit more. Plus their O-line played alot better than ours last year.

Nassib would be better if he had all of Bridgewaters weapons to work with. We have a couple really good guys, but not anywhere near that number. Even if you got your wish and Broyld, Hunt, or Kinder got the start next year they will suffer from the same issues as Nassib until the OL and more skill players step up.

Nassib has earned his final year at starting QB, and all the guys you hope to see will be better served to be playing a year further along in the system. The O-line will have some fresh faces again next year whereas when the next QB takes over most pieces will be familiar with one another. Also, the skill guys we are landing this year will be in their 2nd season when the next QB takes over. The next QB that starts in 2 seasons will be in alot better position than Nassib has been in as a starter. Nassib being the starter again next year helps with that process.

Hunt and Kinder aren't ready to play. If you watched the Spring game, you could see. Yes they are athletic, but they aren't ready to read defenses, and play quarterback at the D1 level yet. In order to "try" those other QBs, because of the vastly different skill set, you have to completely change your offense. You don't just stick those players in the same offense and say "go do it." And that late in the season is not the time to completely change your offense. Sorry, there was no reason to stick either of those players in.

And will not ever be ready to play without meaningful game experience. IF DM needs them cause his qb gets injured..well we just need to wish the neophytes good luck and prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Another "dead horse" post from another "dead horse" poster.

heaven forbid a post that isnt all flowers and rainbows-

That's not his point at all. His point is that you're not adding anything here. Statements of "Nassib sucks" and "Marrone sucks" over and over serve a purpose, but get old fast. Especially when that's all a poster has to say.

SO CAN YOU READ? show me what part of my post says nassib sucks or marrone sucks

Just curious, have you actually seen the other QBs play at practice? We all realize that Doug didn't give the other QBs throughout the year but why should if he he's already got the best player on the field? I've never seen the others in practice but you make it seem like you know for a fact, without any doubt, that there's better QBs on the team and for some reason, Doug is purposely not playing them. Are you just assuming that other players MUST be better even though you've never seen them first hand?

You can get better in practice and the offseason. Not everything is about game experience.

Hunt is the most likely person to challenge Nassib, but there is separation. Doubtful Kinder or Loeb ever see the field. We'll see what Ashton can bring. Nassib is the clear 1 at this point though.

Kinder is pretty much a WR with an arm at this point. Can't make progressions.

Why does every thread get so hijacked?

Nassib will be the QB next year with Hunt likely getting some series. If Broyld comes in and shows alot of good, I think the coaches will figure out a way to get him on the field. Marrone will do whatever it takes to win next year. This will be 90-95% his team.
