Joe do yourself a favor and dont read my post. The fact is that Doug didnt play another QB at all this year. why would anyone think that he will do anything different next year given the fact that nassib is back? Sorry but Doug is too conservative to give Broyld a shot next year and im sure the kid could use a RS. I just hope that he gives Hunt and Kinder a shot.
I think his point is that in almost every thread you post in, you take a shot at Marrone. It does grow tiresome.
To your question about "does L'ville really have that many more weapons?" Yes, they really do.
WR Devante Parker 4* Frosh, WR Michaelee Harris 4* w/ high major offers, RB Vic Anderson 4* w/ high major offers, RB Dominique Brown 3* w/ Ohio State offer, TE Josh Chichester 4* w/ Ohio State offer.
Now I'm not a huge fan of the star system but when recruits have offers from Ohio State, Miami, Tennessee, etc. to go along with the stars then I buy in a bit more. Plus their O-line played alot better than ours last year.
Nassib would be better if he had all of Bridgewaters weapons to work with. We have a couple really good guys, but not anywhere near that number. Even if you got your wish and Broyld, Hunt, or Kinder got the start next year they will suffer from the same issues as Nassib until the OL and more skill players step up.
Nassib has earned his final year at starting QB, and all the guys you hope to see will be better served to be playing a year further along in the system. The O-line will have some fresh faces again next year whereas when the next QB takes over most pieces will be familiar with one another. Also, the skill guys we are landing this year will be in their 2nd season when the next QB takes over. The next QB that starts in 2 seasons will be in alot better position than Nassib has been in as a starter. Nassib being the starter again next year helps with that process.
