Ex-Texas A&M guard David Edwards dies after battling coronavirus
David Edwards, a former Texas A&M guard who holds the school's single-season record for total assists from his play in the early 1990s, has died of complications from the coronavirus. Former St. John's guard Lee Green also died after battling the virus.
Ex-Hoya and TA&M guard David Edwards, who was likely around 50 y.o., succumbed to covid-19 yesterday.
I faintly remember him at Georgetown, but his "tie" to SU is that he departed the Big East the same summer that Tony Scott left to play for the Aggies, and likely for the same reasons: Rob Johnson and $$$. They were essentially a package deal.
